Mass Effect is beginning to grow a fairly large fan-base, and with a fan base comes an eager lust for consumerism. It is going to start off as a short series, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the comic take off. It appears that the comic series, Mass Effect: Redemption,will fill the gap.īioWare's Lead Writer, Mac Walters, will pen the story, while Omar Francia will be handling the art.
In early trailers for the game, it was hinted that Shepard had died, but there has been no explanation as of yet why people thought that the Specter had fallen. The four-part story will launch on January 6th, 2010, and takes place between Mass Effect 1 and 2, following the mysterious disappearance of Commander Shepard. EA has teamed up with Dark Horse comics to start a comic series based on BioWare's Mass Effect. Two days before the show floor opens and Comic-Con news is already pouring out.
